Solemn conferring of ISO TS 16949 certificate and Rubber party 2006 - June 2006

As we have already written, we have obtained the audit confirmation of company adequacy according to the requirements of ISO/TS 16949 in January 2006.

The solemn conferring of the quality certificate was arranged on Friday, 09th June 2006, at our production plant in Siliko Sevnica. Among other important guests the solemnity also attended the Minister of Commerce, Mr. Andrej Vizjak; president of the Council of state, Mr. Janez Susnik; the representative of certification authority TUV Bayern Sava Ltd., Mr. Janez Bernat; the Mayor of the Sevnica Commune, Mr. Kristijan Janc, deputy mayors of the Sevnica Commune, business partners, employees and other guests.

The solemn arrangement started at 14:00, with the introduction of the commentator, Mr. Vili Zupancic, about the so far made path and achievements of the company Siliko. The director of Siliko, Mr. Janez Koprivec, stressed out the importance of quality, which is the only competitive advantage by the pressure of low-price manufacturers from East. He also stressed out the importance of all employees for achieving quality and thanked to all of them for their contributions at creating the mosaic of success.

The certificate of quality was solemn conferred by the Minister of Commerce, Mr. Andrej Vizjak, and the representative of certification authority TUV Bayern Sava Ltd., Mr. Janez Bernat, who stressed out, that the achieved certificate is a result of a long-term persistence of the company for achieving quality. The Minister greeted the company orientation towards quality and among other also greeted the growth of successful companies which enable opening of new working places in perspective branches of industry.

President of the Council of state expressed thanks for an outstanding success and development of Siliko and also stressed out the importance of development and entrepreneur innovations which demand highly capable and self-sacrificing entrepreneurs that Mr. Koprivec surely is.

Mayor of Commune of Sevnica also expressed warm thanks for a contribution of Siliko in Commune of Sevnica: in just a couple of years a great company Siliko has grown at ruins of failed textile company Jutranjka. Siliko now gives employment to several workers from Sevnica region, it completely renovated the interior and the surroundings of the company, for which also achieved the title of “the most beautiful company” at the contest of Tourist association of Sevnica in 2004, among other it also renovated the recreation ground by the production plant at which every year happen so called “Rubber parties” for all employees; and at the same time the company participates in local community in Sevnica Region. At this occasion the mayor conferred to Mr. Koprivec “a special certificate” to Siliko as the first recipient of ISO TS 16949 in the Commune of Sevnica and for the various contribution to Sevnica community.

The solemnity was variegated by the young flautists of Musical school of Sevnica, great vocalist and musician, Mr. Ivan Hudnik, and also great girls of vocal group “Coronke”. They both sang a few songs with unbelievable, breathtaking vocals.

After official part the guests walked through the production and could take a look of the production process, machinery and products. Then a traditional picnic “Rubber party 2006” with the football-match between the Parliament-team and Siliko-team followed. Despite great game of guests, the Siliko-team defeated the members of Parliament with the final result 2:1.

After football-match we all had lunch with tasteful “bograc” (a special kind of goulash made of various kind of meat etc) and grill specialities. After lunch we had several fun-games : football with “Siliko snickers”, team walking with tided legs, rope pulling ... The results are not important, since we all had a great time and laughed to the tears. By the good music of “Jasmin” band, great food and drinks the party stretched, as always, late into the night.
