Traditional 7th annual gathering – "RUBBER PARTY 2010" - July 10th, 2010


Annual meeting of SILIKo employees is a traditional meeting that we do not skip any year. This way at least once a year we all meet together and spend a nice day outside of work. Regarding main activity in our company (rubber products) we named our meeting in a waggish way: "RUBBER PARTY". Every year all employees and occasional workers are invited which is a rarity today.

This years 7th Rubber Party 2010 was organized in Bled, on a beautiful location on Straza above Bled, with one of the most beautiful views on the lake and the castle of Bled.

This years meeting was something special as we tested ourselves in adrenalin activities of Adventures Park which is a novelty in Slovenia and therefore even more interesting. There are 5 different »ways« between trees in the forest. Each »path« is on a different hight: from 2 to 12 meters above ground.

All participants are equiped with safety equipment: safety belts, carabiners, and »flying fox« pulley. In the start a safety instructions are »a must« as later we are on our own in the hights and have to make all the safety buckle ups alone with no instructors there.

Despite that the adrenalin adventure is entirely safe if we follow all safety instructions.

For additional fun we also did summer sliding which can be very adrenalin if we do not use the brake much or we do not use it at all!

For the team spirit we made groups and as we were in the time of the World Football Championship we named the groups same as the states of the Championship. Contrary to the results of the real Championship Australia won the first place, Brasil was second and France acchieved third place.

After games and adventures in the top of the trees we finished the day in Radovljica with good food, drinks and live music of Zarja band. Regarding coments this was one of the best picnics, that we will not forget for along time.
